Compare it to Rugby, another sport i dislike. Rugby is a rougher sport than football. Yet the players don’t collapse to the floor clutching a body part from the most minor of tackles. They don’t mouth off to refs. The fans aren’t the scum of the earth. Football is basically the sport for plebs. It’s a shame it’s the same in America

Of course it’s a good thing. Football/soccer for the most part has been completely absent in America. It is good for them and the sport to finally receive recognition from them. It doesn’t matter if i don’t like the sport, the world doesn’t revolve around me. Though back to my original point, i hoped that they wouldn’t also adopt the shitty fan mentality of being the dregs of society. Which it appears they have. Maybe there is something about the sport that breeds such behavior.
