6 Thoughts on Anatomy of a Goal: Jeremy Hall wins individual battle to score for Toronto

  1. Just chatted with Greg about this. Per Mr. Lalas, “It’s not accurate to blame him. If he had made the save it would probably have been up for Save of the Week. Also worth noting that he slipped when planting his feet, but Jeremy Hall deserves some credit; he put it in the corner.”

  2. Also, i am a subscriber to kick tv, and all of the eurosnobs upon viewing the goal highlights of MLS from this week singled this goal out as one that the Tally Hall should have gotten to. Do you think they are accurate, in that the pace on the shot is slow enough that he really should have made it there, or was the accuracy so good that there was truly no hope for even Hall, who any MLS fans have realized is a very solid GK?

  3. I lol’d way too hard at the 300 reference. I really wish things like this had existed back when I was a high school soccer player, things might have been so much different for me

  4. Individual battles are crucial. If every player on a team could win every ball then that team would be unstoppable!
