This gave them a commanding lead in the match during the break, which they maintained throughout the encounter. Even though they relaxed a little in the second half, Arena said that he is extremely happy with the performance of his players. Star striker Landon Donovan remarked after the game that LA Galaxy were better in every aspect of the field. He said that the team completed deserved the victory, which has helped them move into the top five of the MLS table.

β€œI think our start to the game was real good. Guys had a real good positive attitude about getting out there tonight. I think this year, for a large part of the year, we’ve played pretty well. We’ve just been a little inconsistent, a little unlucky at times, and I think at least tonight we rewarded ourselves a little bit and we got the kind of result we deserved,” said the LA Galaxy manager. β€œIt’s always nice to score. One, two, three or four doesn’t really matter. As a striker, your job is to score goals,” said Keane after managing a hat-trick – his first in the competition.
